Colour, Scent and Beauty

A champion of seasonal flowers and foliage, Meg has a special insight into the world of the artisan flower farmer and florist.

Flowers have always been ‘in the air’ at Roots. Sweet peas in the early days and now as a result of several years planning, a flower field that between April and October, provides a seasonal range of cut flowers to fill our customers’ homes with colour and scent.

Fresh Flowers
We cut and condition our flowers to order so that they give our customers the longest time in their vases at home. With that in mind, if you would like to order a bucket, bouquet or bunch, it is a good idea to give us a call Tel. 01905 421104 to reserve flowers to collect at a convenient time.

If you are a florist looking for fresh, seasonal, locally grown flowers and want to learn more about them for projects and for retail, do get in touch. In 2025 we will be offering a list of available products to purchase along with farm tours to inspire when you can see the flowers growing in the field and talk to our team about what your customers want to buy.

The Farewell Flowers Directory

We are delighted to be members of The Farewell Flowers Directory. A new directory of florists from across the UK who are offering British, seasonal flowers created in compostable arrangements. This directory provides a connection between florists and customers who are looking for naturally beautiful, plastic free flowers and aims to change the world of funeral flowers one arrangement at a time.

Flowers from the Farm

In 2021-2023 Meg took the helm of the national organisation www.flowersfromthefarm.co.uk and spent two years working hard to promote a 1000 strong membership, representing them at numerous shows including the prestigious RHS Shows Malvern and Hampton Court, in the press, on radio, television and amongst peers at a pan-European conference.

Now as an enthusiastic member, Meg is really proud of her connection with  this nationwide network of artisan growers, florists and designers who have pledged a commitment to promote British seasonal flowers and foliage.
